      "Thinking about thinking in order to improve thinking."   - Prof. Milan Pandya

         13th August 2022 and 14th August 2022. We had a workshop on thinking skill by such a brilliant scholar professor Milan Pandya sir. He is working in Canada. He is a teacher, trainer and educator in the field of Thinking Skills i.e. Critical, Creative and Design Thinking, English Language Teaching & Communication Skills. With more than 12 years of teaching experience. 

   

          The first day he was talking about basic information about thinking skills. First he discuss about two type of thinking skills:

- Critical thinking

- Creative thinking

      "If something is true then what has to be true".

  

        Critical thinking is not just thinking over the truth, you have to think about what has to be true. Milansar gave this wonderful definition with so many examples and exercises. His extraordinary quality is to teach with day-to-day life examples that quality is very unique.

   For critical thinking he showed us the photographs of Kareena Kapoor in an advertisement of soap, scene of 'Mohabbatein' serial, twits of Satish Shah, Kiran Bedi, Shraddha Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Sunny Leone. All these photographs and tweets need to think about their little faults. 

       Behind the truth there is something false, in this we need to think and it becomes critical thinking.

       At the end of the session of first day, Milan sir gave a wonderful quote that,

         "Your teacher might be wrong, learn to think for yourself"

         On the other day, there was a discussion about creative thinking.

          One small thing becomes more effective by creative thinking or one simple visual becomes more effective by creative thinking. Sir showed us some photographs and gave us an activity to think creatively over it. First he showed a bicycle photograph and then there were many photographs about our day to day life things like goggles, paper clip, toothbrush, etc. We can't imagine that this general use things have so many uses. It can be possible only by creative thinking.

            Through this workshop we can understand what is creative thinking and critical thinking. Milan sir taught this topic very creatively that we can understand easily with interest.He kept the class lively and explained difficult topics in a very simple manner.
